Audition Tips:
Please come prepared!
Familiarize yourself with the show and possible parts that you will be auditioning for. Listen to the soundtrack before selecting your audition piece. The piece that you select should be a Broadway show tune that shows off your vocal range and be similar in tempo and style to songs from the show that you are auditioning for.
BRING SHEET MUSIC WITH YOU in the range that you will be singing in. Music is available online (try www.sheetmusicplus.com or www.musicnotes.com ) or at Bramson’s Music at 280 North Bedford Road in Mt. Kisco. You will most likely be asked to learn a simple dance routine with a group. Please wear shoes and clothing that are comfortable and easy to move in. You might be asked to do a short reading form the script. You will have a chance to practice beforehand. Be sure to project! Remember that you are being assessed from the moment you walk into the audition. Please be respectful and courteous of the other actors before and while they are auditioning. Speak softly and be patient, and most of all enjoy the process!
